Start with a weekday routine

For most of us we have a fairly routine weekday schedule with work/school/study.  

By creating a routine to your breakfast (and perhaps lunch too) you can start your day in a consistent, healthy way 5 days a week.

​Choose a good healthy breakfast that is easy to prepare, contains a good protein source.

Personal Experience
For myself I have three options that provide a little variety within my breakfast routine:
  1. Toast topped with homemade hummus & tomato
  2. A low-sugar cereal with milk and fruit
  3. A banana/berry smoothie using trim milk.

In making your choice for morning options I recommend:
  • Make sure it's a healthy option by checking out it's nutritional value (eg the free Fitness Pal app).
  • Include a portable option so you can have it on the run when you're running late.
  • Have a couple of alternatives so that you have variety.
  • Include a good source of protein.
