Beautiful Berries - for your Sweet Tooth

​If you're getting a craving for something sweet in the evening - try some berries.  

​A little dish of fresh raspberries gives a delicious burst of healthy sweetness and is sure to bring a smile to your face.

​Fresh is always best of course but even out of season you can bring out berries from the freezer to quickly defrost - add some yoghurt and again you've got a healthy answer to your sweet tooth.

As a bonus berries have anti-oxidants and are relatively low in kilojoules.  Frozen berries are still relatively affordable compared to bars of chocolate or bags of sweets and are guilt-free!
  • Keep bags of frozen berries in your freezer.
  • Add berries to porridge/oats instead of sugar.
  • Use berries as a natural sweetner in baking and reduce the sugar.
  • Have a bowl of fresh berries as a snack instead of sweets
